LISTA Non Profit Tech Support Initiative

LISTA's Non Profit Tech Support Program and Initiative helps Latino non-profits to use technology to accomplish their mission. Specifically, it strengthens the technological infrastructure of its member non profits and agencies in five main areas: hardware and software upgrades; Internet access and e-mail; networking; training, technical support, web-development, e-commerce and systems integration; and community and economic development. This program is designed especially for NFP to bridge the digital divide.


Our network of local LISTA Councils offers a wide range of technical expertise to serve organizations of all shapes and sizes. Whether you need help managing your network or enhancing your web site, LISTA consultants will work with you to plan and successfully implement the technology you need.

Local LISTA members and affiliates, offer technology assistance based upon the needs of organizations in their community. LISTA services integrate strategic technology planning to assure that the NFP is able to reach the community and give them the much needed services. LISTA offers other services like Virtual CIO, LISTA Tech volunteers, Computer ER and LISTA work-force development programs to drive the mission of technology for all in their local communities. On a national level, LISTA also conducts programs that bring our services to a broader range of nonprofits.

LISTA's capacity-building programs include: One-on-one consultations on technology planning and implementation. LISTA uses its members and partners with tech companies such as IBM, Microsoft, Constant Contact, Nxtbook publications, Cisco and other providers in order to enhance the technological capacity of the non profit organizations.

Other services include:

  • Ongoing troubleshooting advice on matters such as hardware troubles, modem installations, gaining Internet access, restoring operating systems, PC maintenance, database, back up and network administration.

  • Distribution of quality donated hardware and software to Latino agencies.

  • Seminars on Mous training and other technology basics.

  • Small grants to allow the staff of member agencies to attend seminars on training program.
